Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026.

What2Know is an editorial knowledge website operated by Bruksort Production in Sweden. This policy explains what information may be processed when you visit or use the site.

Information we collect

Basic technical information may be recorded in server and security logs, including IP address, browser type, requested pages, time of access and error information. This is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.

If you contact us, submit feedback or leave a comment, we process the information you choose to provide. Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary.

Cookies and local storage

WordPress may use essential cookies for administration, security and user preferences. Non-essential analytics or advertising cookies must not be placed before any consent required by applicable law has been obtained.

What2Know is being prepared for Google AdSense. Advertising is currently disabled. If advertising is activated, Google and its partners may process device information and use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and protect advertising. Visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be presented with an appropriate consent interface before consent-dependent advertising technology is used.

Embedded media and external links

Articles may include privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds and links to external sources. Opening or interacting with external content may allow that provider to receive technical information and apply its own privacy policy. We aim to use privacy-enhanced embedding where practical, but external services remain responsible for their own processing.

Why we process information

  • to provide and secure the website;
  • to answer enquiries and evaluate feedback;
  • to prevent spam, abuse and technical attacks;
  • to understand and improve site performance where permitted; and
  • to meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.

Sharing and international transfers

Information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, security, embedded media, analytics or advertising. We limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary and use available contractual and technical safeguards. Some providers may process information outside Sweden or the EEA under their applicable transfer safeguards.

Retention

Technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably needed for operation, security and troubleshooting. Enquiries and editorial correspondence are retained for as long as needed to handle the matter and maintain an appropriate record. Legal requirements may require longer retention in particular cases.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent and request data portability. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Children

The site provides general knowledge and is not designed to collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian may contact us if they believe a child has submitted personal data.

Contact and updates

Privacy enquiries can be submitted through the Contact and Editorial Policy page. We may update this policy when the website, its services or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
